Mount Vernon & Fairway – A Fairy Tale
A 12 minute animated tribute to Mount Vernon and Fairway, a children's story that Brian Wilson wrote back in the early 70s. I was the lead animator, animation director, and art director for this project. Truly a labor of love for both myself and my creative partner Phill Skokos. We both wanted to have it feel like an actual long lost children's cartoon, so we got it converted to VHS format. Our primary influence was Harry Nilsson's The Point, as well as other cartoons from that era like Schoolhouse Rock, and Really Rosie.
Funnily enough, I also grew up watching these cartoons on VHS, so this project felt particularly nostalgic to me!
