The Gold Rush Collection

A series on the history of the California Gold Rush and the near extinction of the Native Nisenan and Maidu tribes; a direct result of colonialism and greed. I was particularly invested in conveying the true grit and dignity of native peoples, stripping away any romanticism which is so often a cover for the tragedies that occurred during this era.
